Screw piles are a type of deep foundation that can be installed quickly with minimal noise and vibration. Using hydraulic rotary equipment, the piles are literally screwed into the ground. This is an extremely efficient foundation installation. Coupled with their mechanism of dispersing load, they provide effective in-ground performance in a wide range of soils types.
We use engineered screw piles that are built in Alberta and are available with an engineers report upon request. If sufficient torque is not met with the length of the screw pile, an extension can be bolted onto the existing pile and screwed down till torque requirements are met. We also have offset pile caps that can be used where the centreline of the screw pile is different than where load bearing is needed. Our machines are equipped with a computer to monitor torque readouts, pile depth and more. USB with pile info provided upon request. Our machines are also on tracks to minimize any damage to exisiting landscaping
